Starved Rock State Park

Karen and I took a drive out to Starved Rock State Park to scope out some camp sites for this spring, get some fresh air and stretch our legs a bit. The road to the camp sites is closed so we didn’t get to do any scoping, but the trails are open. It was a very cold and snowy day but beautiful nonetheless. Click to view the set on Flickr.

Soldier’s National Cemetery at Gettysburg

I didn’t get many photos here because (ironically) my batteries died shortly after I arrived. Click the image to view the set on Flickr.

The Battle of Gettysburg – Day 2 – Devil’s Den and Little Round Top

After taking some photos at the scene of Pickett’s Charge, we checked out the visitor center, which didn’t have much to look at that we didn’t have to pay for, so we moved on to Devil’s Den and Little Round Top. Actually, to be more precise, Karen dropped me off at Devil’s Den and went somewhere else for the next two and a half hours while I walked around and took pictures. The Battle of Gettysburg – Day 3 – Pickett’s Charge

While visiting Karen’s brother Mark in State College, PA, Karen and I drove down to Gettysburg. We left Mark’s place in State College at 4:15 am so we could get there before sunrise. Click the image to view the set on Flickr.
