We spent most of the day Friday driving around, visiting waterfalls on the Black River which runs through Ottawa National Forest in the UP. We had a great time walking up and down the riverbed, climbing on rocks and getting up close and personal with the falls on the Black River.

Even on a gloomy gray day, the colors up there were a whole lot more spectacular than they are here.
